End of Life Doula
My Approach
I work with individuals and their loved ones who seek a spiritual or conscious approach to dying. My goal is to help create and hold space that allows people to speak openly and frankly about dying in ways that lead to increased communication and increased spiritual and emotional well-being. When individuals plan for death, they have more autonomy over their decisions and are able to clearly define their end-of-life wishes with family and loved ones. There is no right or wrong way to die. Each person must find their own way. My role is to help you identify your needs and wishes and co-create an approach that works for you.
I see the process of dying as a sacred passage of the soul from the world of physical incarnation to the non-physical spiritual world of conscious existence. In this view the soul disengages from the physical body and moves into a post mortem state of consciousness that continues after death. I believe that we are each a source of sacredness and we return to that source.
My work is informed by an understanding of the processes of human incarnation and excarnation – the soul’s taking on of physical, energetic, emotional and mental vehicles at birth and releasing these vehicles at the time of death. Death is a process of letting go and untangling the threads of energy, thought and emotion that bind us to our physical being as we prepare to embark on a journey home to the realms of spirit where we continue to live in a non-physical state of consciousness. This letting go can come with a sense of deep loss. It involves saying goodbye to loved ones you cherish and to the life you have lived. Yet in the midst of sorrow, death can be seen as a great adventure and as a moment of liberation and opportunity for spiritual and personal growth.
I serve as a loving and caring companion and guide in this process. I can help you review your life, process unfinished emotional business, say your goodbyes and plan for your final days and hours. I bring a family centered approach where the individual and the family form the unit of care. I seek to foster informed decision-making and maximum self-determination for the individual and family. It is important to understand that I do not provide medical support or physical aid of any kind. My role is focused on emotional and spiritual support of individuals and their loved ones as they prepare for the soul’s journey across the veil of death.

I do not charge for my services. I see this work as a spiritual service and a shared sacred journey.
